Dick Versace Cause Of Death: How Did Dick Versace Die?

Currently, Dick Vesrsace’s cause of death was not officially shared with the public.

Versace, who served as coach for the Indiana Pacers and Bradley Braves from 1988 to 1990, has died at 81.

“Our thoughts are with the family of former Bradley head coach Dick Versace as the two-time MVC Coach of the Year who led BU from 1978 to 1986 passed away at the age of 81 on Friday,” read a statement from the Braves.

Versace led the Braves from 1978 to 1986 and amassed 156 wins during his eight seasons.

He led the team to three regular-season MVC Championships, two MVC Tournament titles and NCAA Tournament appearances and the 1982 NIT crown.

“Versace had an immediate impact on campus as he became the first coach in conference history to lead a program from last one season to first the next as the Braves swept the league titles in just his second season in 1980,” said the Braves.

A two-time MVC Coach of the Year, Versace joined the NBA following his time with the Braves, serving as the coach for the Indiana Pacers from 1988 to 1990.

Although Versace’s cause of death is yet to be revealed, tributes have been pouring out on social media following the tragic news.

During his eight seasons as the Braves’ manager, Versace led the team to 156 victories.

He coached the club to three MVC regular-season crowns, two MVC Tournament titles, NCAA Tournament berths, and the 1982 NIT championship.
