Dietrich Mateschitz Children: Meet Mark Gerhardter

Mark Gerhardter is the only son of Austrian business tycoon Dietrich Mateschitz.

He was born Mark Gerhardter Mateschitz in 1993 to Dietrich Mateschitz and Anita Gerhardter.

Mark Gerhardter grew up with his mother Anita Gerhardter, with whom Dietrich Mateschitz had a two-year relationship.

In 2011, he completed his Matura at Werkschulheim Felbertal high school in Salzburg. He subsequently studied business administration in Salzburg.

Mark Gerhardter is a shareholder of Dietrich Mateschitz Verwaltungs OG.

In 2021, Mark Gerhardter became the managing director of Mark Mateschitz Beteiligungs GmbH, which holds 34 percent of the real estate company deaurea.

Mark Gerhardter has been on the board of Wings for Life since early 2022.

Mark’s father Dietrich Mateschitz was the co-founder and 49% owner of Red Bull GmbH. He was co-founder of the Wings for Life foundation which supports spinal cord research together with Heinz Kinigadner.

Dietrich Mateschitz died on October 22, 2022, at the age of 78, following a long period of illness.
