Dominika Peczynski Biography

Dominika Peczynski is a Polish-Swedish singer, model and television host born on 20 September 1970 in Warsaw, Poland. She is a former member of Swedish pop music group Army of Lovers making her debut with the group with “Hasta Mañana”, a cover of the ABBA song. 

Her mother Tina is Russian-Jewish and her father Bohdan Peczyński is Polish. Peczynski grew up in Poland until she was seven years old and moved to Stockholm with her family. She joined a model agencies after going to Stockholm and also worked as a waitress at the restaurant Tyrol in Stockholm for a while.

In 1992, Dominika Peczynski joined the music group Army of Lovers as the fourth member. She her debut with the group with “Hasta Mañana”, a cover of the ABBA song. Peczynski already knew the other members of Army of Lovers; she schooled with Jean-Pierre Barda and had previously had a relationship with Alexander Bard and she had worked with Michaela Dornonville de la Cour and Camilla Henemark for the same modelling agency.

Dominika Peczynski has worked as a TV presenter for a number of different Swedish and overseas shows, including the Swedish version of Temptation Island and her own programme, Dominika’s Planet, which aired in the UK. She has also worked as a Program Manager in TV3 and Channel 5 in several different TV shows. In 1998 she posed for the adult magazine Playboy.

In 2009, she was awarded the award for “The Best Ethnic Cookbook of the Year of the Meals Academy. During the Audition Tournament in Idol 2015, Peczynski’s side hit was Alexander Bard in the Idol jury. In 2017 she was one of the contestants in Let’s Dance.

She has two children; a daughter Hannah Sabina Edna Bari born in 2000 with Claes Bari and a son Harry Bartal born on 8 August 2011, via C-section with Yoav Bartal.

Soon Borg and Dominika Peczynski get married.

For the Nöjesblad, the future bride tells about the plans.

“It will be great to marry after four years. November is the dullest month and therefore it will be fun to put the wedding then you have something to look forward to.

Three years ago, it was revealed that former finance minister Anders Borg , 50, had initiated a relationship with Army of Lovers star Dominica Peczynski , 45.

In May last year Anders walked down and freed a restaurant in Rome.

“It feels great. I think it’s amazing to be engaged, I’ve never been before, said Dominika to the Nöjesbladet.

And soon it will be a wedding. On November 3rd, Anders and Dominika will finally be husband and wife, something that the Stop Presses were the first to report.

“It will be great to marry after four years. November is the most beautiful month, so it’s going to be fun to put the wedding when you have something to look forward to, “says Dominika to the Nöjesbladet.

The dress is sewn by the best friend

The wedding will have Jewish traditions and the wedding takes place in central Stockholm.

“There will be a bourgeois wedding ceremony with Jewish traditions like trampling on glass,” says Dominika, and continues:

– Camila Thulin , one of my best friends, sews the dress.

Something that usually gives future bridesmaids headbreaks is the wedding wedding itself. Something that Dominika is going to fix now.

“We will practice the wedding roll with Martin Drakenberg who was my coach in” Let’s dance “last year.

Changes last name

When asked about Dominika to take Anders’s last name, she is sure.

“I’ll be called Borg by surname, I’ll remove Peczynski, it will be too many letters otherwise,” says Dominika, laughing.

Anders Borg was previously married to Susanna Ölander Borg, and together they have three children.

Dominika has daughter Hannah, 17, and son Harry, 6, from previous relationships.
