North Dakota State Representative Nico Rios is standing his ground in the face of calls for him to resign. Rios’s turmoil stems from his behavior during a DUI stop in mid-December 2023. Rios attempted to intimidate the officers, used homophobic language, and spewed anti-migrant rhetoric. “I owe it to myself, my district, and everyone and I vow to make sure this never happens again,” Rios said in a statement.
