Tillman was a four-star consensus recruit, and was regarded by the website for recruiting 247Sports as the top potential in Michigan. On September 30th in 2016, he signed a verbal agreed to join Michigan State over Marquette and Purdue and said, “They play the best competition, as well as they’re such great guys.
